The heavens gained a beautiful, kind and a very special star yesterday. Our beloved mare Latifah AA (Al Maraam x Imperial Kalatifa) was laid to rest. She truly lived up to her name - the gentle one -and was the most loving, kind soul that was ever bred at our farm.
Born in 2001, Latifah was our first born Al Maraam (Imperial Imdal x The Vision HG) foal. And from her legendary sire she took her wonderful disposition. She was a gentle and kind mare who was loved by everyone - including both farm workers and the farm visitors. It was simply impossible not to fall in love with her when you looked into those kind, tender and most beautiful black eyes. And she was the mare we chose to become Daniel's first riding horse...
Beside being a kind soul and a successful show horse, Latifah was, most importantly, a great producer for our program. Her cross with Nader Al Jamal (Ansata Sinan x Savannah CC) was particularly successful and this cross produced some great show and breeding animals including Lutfina AA, Labibah AA and BK Latif. Through the Lutfina AA and Labibah AA progeny, Latifah's legacy is guaranteed to continue here for many generations to come.
For now, this great mare's days with us are over, but we hope that her star in the sky will keep twinkling above us every night, and will follow us always. Wherever we may go. We will carry the memories of this beautiful soul with us forever...
