The first Israeli show of the year, the 2010 Spring Show, was held last weekend at Kibbutz Magal, with over 100 participants. This was a great start for the 2010 show season, which will be very busy, with over six shows in our region. Ranyya GB (Nader Al Jamal x Zarka by Shahir) was 1st in one of the 2009 fillies' classes with OEJ Mona Liza (by Simeon Sharav) standing behind her. The other 2009 Fillies class was led by the Al Manar (Al Maraam x Luiba) daughter Salsabil Al Jamal. Donya Jamal (Nader Al Jamal x Aroussa by Al Maraam) was 1st in the 2008 filly class and OEJ Shakeera (by Al Maraam) was 1st in the 2007 class. The Al Maraam grandson Bahir El Jamal (by Dar Al Azim) was 1st in the 2009 colt class. Dinar (by Nader Al Jamal) was 1st in the 2008 colts' class, with another Al Maraam grandson, El Amir Ibn Mawardi (Al Mawardi) standing behind him. In the Fillies championship, Donya got the Gold, Salsabil Al Jamal was standing for the Silver and OEJ Shakeera was Bronze champion. In the Colts championship the Al Maraam grandson Bahir El Jamal got the Gold, the Nader Al Jamal son, Dinar, was Silver Champion and El Amir Ibn Mawardi earned the Bronze title. It is interesting to see that five (out of six) title holder in the junior Championships were related to Al Maraam. The Laheeb son, AA Assal was 1st in his class, and performed superbly; he was later named Reserve Senior Champion Stallion. Congratulations to all breeders and owners of these wonderful horses.
